Blues Look To Clinch Finals Spot

It's been a wild ride in the AFL Quebec Men's division this season. Just 4 premiership points separate top from bottom and many teams have been ravaged by injury. As it stands, the fate of the one squad that will miss post-season action is destined to go down to the very last round. Most experts believe 4 wins will guarantee September action and for the Blues that means securing a victory in one of their final two matches.

This week the Blues face off against the Wooders who have been decimated by injury in 2018. Phil Manassa has been in league MVP form, but injuries to Riddle, Houvion and Chemin have left the once mighty team fighting for the top 4.

The Blues have injury concerns of their own, but the career best form of Bogdan Rotaru, Pat Eefting's 22 goals for the season and breakout rookie seasons from Jeremy Coutec and Adrian Clarizio have kept the Blues right in the hunt. Perhaps the biggest shining light of 2018 has been the Blues defence, led by Nico Pouessel and Stewart Jeromson, the Blues have been one of the toughest teams to score against this season. Recent livewire addition Djacine Bauouche has also given the Blues another rookie of the year candidate to add to their treasure chest of talent.

Catch the Blues in action at 3pm at Vanier College this Sunday.
